Cosmetic Surgery Gone Wrong
Many people who are planning on undergoing want to know how safe getting a breast augmentation is. Their main focus of course as to whether the implants are safe or not. This comes from years of debated regarding the silicone breast implants of the 1970's and 1960's. When you take into account all of the breast augmentation procedures that are performed every year and then take the number of those who have complications from the breast augmentation you will actually find that the breast augmentation procedure is in fact safe. Although much of the controversy surrounding the safety of breast augmentations is based on the use of the silicone filled breast implants, these are not the only available implants. If you feel deterred by the high number of people who insist that the breast implants are not safe then choose a saline filled breast implant instead.

The only major complication associated with the saline filled breast implants is if the saline solution has been infected. This is a very rare occasion and should the implant deflate and leak the saline solution into the chest then there is noting to really worry about. Remember that when you go to the hospital and the doctor gives you a fluid to hydrate you, they give you a saline solution which is perfectly safe for the human body and is easily absorbed without any side effects.

Furthermore, one has to keep in mind that after undergoing a breast augmentation that their own body rejects the implant and immediately starts creating a capsule of scar tissue which hopefully completely encloses the implant which means that even if a silicone breast implant were to leak, the silicone in many cases will be trapped inside this capsule.

Forget all of the rumors and myth surrounding the safety of the breast implants because if you were to compare the number of reported complications of a breast augmentation to another similar surgical procedure you will easily see that the chances of having a complication as a result of the breast implant is much lower than some rare complications associated with other procedures.
